ENGLISH:
2026 Honors 9
We are asking that students read a novel of choice, and be prepared to discuss the book in an essay which will be assigned on the first day of school.

We are asking that students read one book-length title (150+ pages) over the summer in preparation for the course. This text may be literary fiction or nonfiction, and may be from any time period. Students should be prepared to discuss the book in an essay which will be assigned on the first day of school.

A limited number of books from the list will be made available at the Dover Public Library for checkout over the summer. Check their website for information about their reopening after renovation.

New or transfer students can pick up a copy of the textbook in the Main Office. Limited copies of books for the choice reading assignment are available there as well.
