2026 AP Art Summer Work

Accepted students received their summer work from Ms. Freear at the end of the 2026 school year.

ENGLISH:

 

2026 Honors 9

We are asking that students read a novel of choice, and be prepared to discuss the book in an essay which will be assigned on the first day of school.

Ask a friend, teacher, or librarian for a recommendation that is just right for you!

We are asking that students read one book-length title (150+ pages) over the summer in preparation for the course.  This text may be literary fiction or nonfiction, and may be from any time period.  Students should be prepared to discuss the book in an essay which will be assigned on the first day of school.

We are asking that students read one book-length title (150+ pages) over the summer.  This book should be something you haven’t read before and we encourage you to discuss your book choice with a parent or guardian. Students should be prepared to share information about their book in a brief assignment that will be given on the first day of school.

Copies of books on the list are available at the DHS Library for checkout over the summer though June 17th.  A limited number of books from the list will be made available at the Dover Public Library for checkout over the summer. Check their website for information about their reopening after renovation.

2026  APUSH (AP US History)

Accepted students will receive a copy of the textbook and a Google Classroom invitation by the end of the 2025-2026 school year.

New or transfer students can pick up a copy of the textbook in the Main Office. Limited copies of books for the choice reading assignment are available there as well.
