Important Information for Seniors and Their Parents/Guardians:

ApplyNH is an initiative to help high school seniors navigate the college admissions process held during the school day on October 23rd.  Registration to sign up will be posted in Google Classroom and in the Parent/Guardian Email home.

ASVAB: Will be administered on November 4, 2026 at 8:00 am in Room 115. The ASVAB is an aptitude test and interest assessment administered by the military. Sign up in the Counseling Office.

Colleges Visiting Dover High School: See the list of colleges visiting DHS here: 26-27 College Visits Sign-up in the Counseling Office.

Admissions representatives from the following colleges will be coming to Dover High School next week: University of New Hampshire, Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and Emmanuel College.  If you would like to attend an information session to learn more about these schools, please sign up in the Counseling Office.

Senior Yearbook Deadlines

The deadline for Senior Yearbook Pictures, Baby Pictures and Bios is Friday, October 30th.  For submission links and guidelines please go to the DHS website ( https://dhs.sau11.nh.gov/) and scroll down to the Latest News section and click on Senior Information. 

Advanced Placement Updated Information

Advanced Placement (AP) Exam Registration- If you're taking an AP course at Dover High School or through VLACS , it is time to register and sign up for the May AP exam. Please review the important steps and deadline below:

Step 1) Register: Students must register for each AP exam through their MyAP account. See your classroom teacher for join codes.  VLACS students received their join codes in an email from Ms. Schwartz.

Step 2) Sign up with payment in the Counseling Office. The exam fee is $99 per exam, payable by cash or check to Dover High School. Fee Waivers for qualified students are available; just ask when you sign up.  The deadline to sign up and make your payment to take the exam is October 23, 2026. Exams will not be ordered without registration and payment.

Late/Cancelled Exams:

1. Exams ordered after November 13th will incur a $40 late fee ($99 + $40).
2. AP charges a $40 fee for any exam ordered but not taken.

Free After-School Tutoring 

Again, this year after-school tutoring will be provided by community volunteers at St. John's United Methodist Church. Please see the information below, including the point-of-contact, Donna McAdam.

For: Grades 3-12

When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm (starts October 13, 2026)

Where: St. Johns UMC, 28 Cataract Ave., Dover

Parking

Please see the language below from our handbook concerning parking. As a reminder, sophomores are not eligible to park on campus.

No student shall park any motorized vehicle on any school property during the hours that school is in session without an authorized parking sticker that has been issued by Dover High School administration. Steps will be taken to identify unauthorized vehicles, and interventions will be put in place for violation which may include school consequences and towing.

In the event that a student has multiple parking infractions (parking in a lot without an authorized permit for that lot) and the school has imposed tiered interventions to address this behavior, students will be notified in writing that any subsequent infractions will result in their vehicle being towed off campus at the owner's expense.

Winter Sports Eligibility

Winter sports eligibility is based on Quarter 1 grades. A student-athlete must pass four classes to be eligible.
