Open House
Open House will be held on Thursday, September 24th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This is an opportunity to follow your students Green and White day schedules, meet their teachers, and learn about course expectations.
Back to School Paperwork
Please be sure to return back-to-school paperwork as soon as possible. This paperwork includes:
- Annual Permissions- This is important as the State of New Hampshire requires written consent for health services in a school setting.
- Chromebook Loan Agreement
- Video and Audio Recording on School Property Procedure
- Free and Reduced Lunch Application
Free and Reduced Lunch
Free and Reduced Lunch Forms must be returned by October 1st. Please see the information below on the importance of these forms in helping ensure our students receive the nutrition they need to do well and to assist the school district obtaining important funding.
Volunteer Opportunity
The Strafford Regional Planning Commission is working with the City of Dover to update the transportation chapter of the city's Master Plan. Part of that work is a parking study in the downtown area. They are looking for volunteers to collect parking data on September 12th and 13th between 8 am and 8 pm (rain dates of September 19th, 20th, and 23rd). They ask for a minimum one-hour commitment but would welcome people to give them more time. If you are interested, please return a signed permission form to Mr. Driscoll.
Important Health Office Information
MEDICATIONS AT SCHOOL
The state of New Hampshire requires medication - both over the counter (OTC) and prescription - to be given through the health office. ALL medications must be brought to the school in the original container. The container must be clearly marked with the student's name and dosage. Please check expiration dates; we cannot administer expired medication. Laws regarding dispensing medications are strict.
Over-the-counter (OTC) Medications
Parent/guardian must complete and sign the school form allowing the nurse to dispense medication. Your student may bring OTC medications and completed and signed forms directly to the Health Office.
Prescription Medications
Medication must be in a pharmacy-labeled bottle with the student's name and correct dosage. Only 1 month of medication (30 tabs/capsules) may be kept in the Health Office, so you will need to bring more medication in each month. Controlled medications must be brought in by a responsible adult. A letter from your child's provider is also required and must contain the following information:
- student's name
- date of the order
- route and dosage of med
- diagnosis
- frequency and time of administration
- possible side effects
- any other important instructions for the med
*Please ask the pharmacy to divide the child's med into two bottles - one for home and one for school.
IF YOUR CHILD HAS ASTHMA, ALLERGY AND ANAPHYLAXIS, OR SEIZURES, your child needs an EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN!
These emergency plans are the tools needed to keep your child safe at school. Each school year, a new plan is required.
Here's what you need to do:
- Bring a copy of the Action Plan to your child's provider. Action plans may be found at https://dhs.dover.k12.nh.us/apps/pages/index.jsp?uREC_ID=1424548&type=d&pREC_ID=1592098
- Discuss the plan with your provider. BOTH you and your provider must sign and date the plan.
- Return completed plan and any necessary medications to the DHS Health Office before the start of school.
Caps and Gowns
Believe it or not seniors, the process for ordering caps and gowns has begun. Please use the link below to order your cap and gown by February 1, 2027.

Service Academy Nominations
Anyone interested in getting a service academy nomination from Senator Shaheen's office must have their application in by Friday, October 2, 2026 at 5:00 pm. More information can be found at http://www.shaheen.senate.gov under Academy Nominations.
